What is CMS-ED?

Can I run my own primary care clinic after CMS-ED?

CMS-ED equips you to deliver responsible, community-level primary care. You must operate within local regulations, maintain proper documentation, and refer patients to registered medical practitioners whenever the case requires specialist or advanced treatment.

Required documents include: ID proof (Aadhaar/PAN/Driving License), Address proof, Educational certificates (10th/12th mark sheets), Recent passport-size photograph, Email ID and contact number, Signature.

Does the course include emergency response training?

Yes. You will learn basic life support (BLS), emergency triage, and essential drug usage for urgent care. Practical drills during the field internship ensure you can stabilise a patient and coordinate referrals promptly.

What will I learn in this course?

You will learn: PHC protocols and principles, Vital signs measurement, Hygiene and infection prevention, Common illness identification and first response, Essential drugs knowledge, Documentation and referral procedures, Community health coordination.

What is the internship/fieldwork component?

The 6-month internship involves practical fieldwork in community/rural settings. You will apply your skills under supervision, conduct community health visits, and gain real-world experience in Primary Healthcare delivery.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes, upon successful completion of the course and all requirements, you will receive a certificate from Jan Aayush Sansthan, India.

Does this course guarantee a government job?

No. This course provides educational training in Primary Healthcare. It does not guarantee any government job or special licensure. Follow current laws and standards for employment.
